If your dog is in distress, injured, or you believe this is an emergency, contact a veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital immediately. Do not wait for, or rely on, anything Milo tells you.
These terms govern access to and use of Milo (the "Service"), an AI assistant provided by Milo ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What the Service is
Triage and routing, not diagnosis or treatment. The Service reads a description of a problem, indicates how urgent it appears, suggests a general first step drawn from reviewed reference material, and indicates what kind of professional typically handles that kind of problem. It does not examine your dog, does not establish a veterinarian-client-patient relationship, and does not provide a diagnosis, a treatment plan, a prescription, or a dosage.
Urgency indications are estimates. The Service estimates urgency from your written description alone. That description may be incomplete, and serious conditions can present mildly. A "likely home care" indication is never a statement that your dog is well, and never a reason to delay veterinary care your own judgment says is needed.
Accuracy. The Service uses AI language models and may produce information that is incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Reference material may not reflect current veterinary guidance or local conditions. Verify anything that matters with a qualified veterinarian.
Never for human medicine. The Service covers dogs only. Nothing in it applies to humans or to other animals.
Never for medication decisions. Do not give your dog any medication, supplement, or treatment on the basis of anything the Service says. Many products safe for humans are toxic to dogs, and dosing depends on weight, age, breed, and health status that only a vet can assess.
Your responsibilities
You decide. You remain solely responsible for your dog's care and for every decision you make about it. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
Emergencies. In an emergency, go to a vet. Do not use the Service as a first step, a second opinion, or a reason to wait.
Acceptable use. Do not use the Service to obtain guidance for harming an animal, to avoid necessary veterinary care, or to attempt to extract, manipulate, or misuse the underlying system.
Data and third parties
Third-party processing. The Service uses third-party AI, search, and hosting providers, some operating outside your country. Text you enter is transmitted to those providers to generate a response.
Do not send sensitive personal information. Enter only what is needed to describe your dog's problem. Do not enter identification numbers, financial details, or another person's personal information.
Conversation storage. Your conversations are stored in your own browser so you can return to them. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
Improvement. We may use inputs and outputs, in de-identified form, to evaluate and improve the Service, including its safety behaviour.
Warranties and liability
No warranty. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Milo, its contributors, and its partners are not liable for any injury to, illness of, or death of an animal, or for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of, or reliance on, the Service.
Independent providers. Any veterinarian, groomer, trainer, boarder, or other provider mentioned or reached through the Service is independent. We do not employ, supervise, endorse, or guarantee their services, and we are not responsible for the care they provide.
Changes. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, and may update these terms, at any time. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
